I'm still alive! :)

Wow - it's been a while since I've blogged - for good reason of course.

My best friend came to visit for a week in early August - we had a really good time doing things locally and even hosted an 8.8.08 @ 8pm party at my house in honor of the Opening Ceremony of the Olympics.

I took a week and a half vacation to go to CA, where I met my nephew! He is so cute - his name is Ryan Connor Saxelby, and I got to spend a lot of time with him, and with my family. One of my cousin's got married in northern CA, and I also spent a few days and Mark and Molly's (and the baby) in Milpitas. Jen, her boyfriend, and I spent a day in Yosemite, and I go to help celebrate Ashley's 30th birthday with sorority friends and babies! I also went swimming - a lot - in my parents pool and got some much wanted sun!

My friend Laurie is now engaged (yah!) to a great guy named John -- their wedding March 22, so I now have two weddings to look forward to for friends, in addition to my brothers and Kathleens, although they have not yet set a date (hint hint!!) :)

Last weekend I went kayaking! It was a blast!! I'll have to post a few more pics -- or check them out on my facebook -- they is honestly the site I use more than myspace these days.

Life has been very hectic, especially work the past 1.5 weeks (and will be next week too), but God has been SO good. My small group girls ROCK and we are making progress in Proverbs 31. I'm studying the book of Acts right now, and am enjoying my singles group at church as well. To God be the Glory!

Lincoln is as cute as ever - he missed me when I was gone 11 days and kept waking me up a few times a night for the few few nights I was back.

This weekend I'm looking forward to my church retreat and having some down time!
