Exciting Stuff!!!
Wow - so many people I know are pregnant! There will be 11 new babies before the end of 2008 (that I know of now and if I'm not missing anyone!) That's 3 people pregnant with twins (which in itself is crazy!) and 5 people pregnant with a singleton :) Plus, my cousin's wife just had their second child the week before last. I think I officially have baby envy and I'm not even married! Anyone else out there pregnant that I don't know about? Let's go for a dozen - or maybe even a baker's dozen!
Other than babies, there is exciting stuff happening!....Jerelyn is engaged and I have the honor of being a bridesmaid in her wedding to Mark Conrad on December 20th....I am super excited to support her and Mark in their wedding and to be part of their special day.
I'm still transitioning into my new role at work -- this coming Monday I will finally be dedicated to my new division, so am looking forward to that.
I'm a little behind my target of loosing a pound a week this year, as I have only lost 7 pounds, but I'm pretty close! (plus I didn't start day 1 so it's really only been about 5 weeks).
God is amazing, as always, and is teaching me many new things. I just started a study on spiritual warfare, which I'm looking forward to working through.
I'm really enjoying hanging out with my new friend, Troy, and tonight I was surprised to find flowers on my porch! Thank goodness I found them out there -- it is COLD here -- in fact it's only 22 degrees right now. The problem with fresh flowers is that Lincoln LOVES them, and I can't put them on the kitchen table, because he will either knock them over, or eat them!! Last Sunday, Troy and I attended a concert (the Capital Winds Symphony), and just as I told him when we got there, being at the concert would make me want to join the symphony. Well, sure enough, there was a percussionist I knew on stage, and afterwards, I talked to her, and she introduced me to the conductor and to her percussion teacher, who is in the symphony, and I received an invitation to play with them - yeah! So I'm excited about that too!
I came home tonight and found that Lincoln had dragged the rug in my entryway from the entryway to the middle of the livingroom floor. That means he actually got the rug in his mouth, and dragged it UP four stairs......I can't believe this cat -- he is SO funny! Lincoln is now 1 year old -- maybe this is his way of celebrating!
