Reflections and Lessons learned in 2007

This post is dedicated to my 18.3 year friend

- I still love snow, and still don't care for humidity.

- I'm banned from attending jewelry or Southern Living parties -- I can't say no to hosting my own party!

- Turning 30 was only the first of many more "#-0" milestones I dread.

- Having a soft bike seat is important, especially when cycling long distances.

- Karaoke is a ton of fun even when you aren't drinking.

- Eating yogurt while driving a SUV is much different than eating yogurt when driving a Honda Accord -- also potentially much messier.

- Having a pet is essential to maintaining my sanity.

- Never trust the paint guy at the Home Depot paint center when you know that they are filling in for someone on a break - you end up with paint spilled in your trunk and two different shades of should be the same color.

- Friends are only your friends when they want to be your friend; however, you can always be a friend.

- Reading is relaxing; I still don't read enough.

- My grandmother was a remarkable women and I will never stop missing her smile and graceful nature.

- Don't wear pointy high heels in the mountains.

- Cirque DeSoleil acrobats are simply too skinny and flexible.

- Painting is fun, but it's a whole lot more fun when you have someone to paint with.

- I'm beginning to really settle in here --- I see people around town time to time that I know from work or church.

- The Lord is faithful. His love endures, and he knows what is best for us, always. The Lord's timing, in all things, is the right timing.
