Not keeping my word!

So I said I would try to blog once a week, obviously THAT hasn't happened lately! I have been extremely busy. No really, I have been! I had a fabulous visit with Jen - I posted some pictures of her time here on my myspace. One of the highlights (other than getting a pedicure, of course!) was that she helped me pick out Lincoln, my new kitten! He is absolutely adorable! This past Saturday he had his first Vet appointment, and he was lathargic all day Sunday due to the booster shot he got. He was probably sore too - the Dr had to give him two shots because I guess Lincoln moved and the meds squirted out onto the lab table. Poor baby! He is a stinker too - and VERY active. He likes to attack my feet when I'm laying in bed at night -- and in the morning. It must be like having a baby in the house, because I haven't been getting good nights' rest recently (except Saturday night of course, since he had no energy!) He does good using his litter box, he LOVES to be brushed and to have his belly rubbed, and he chases after toys and brings them back to me like a dog. Fact is that he is just plain cute! He also is a computer geek - look at my pictures posted and you'll see what I mean!

Jen and I did a lot of sightseeing, but still managed to lounge around, drink coffee, and watch movies -- some of our favorite things to do together. And yes, we were up way too late and took tons of pictures!!!

Jen left on the 7th, and my sister in law flew in that same day on a business trip. I spent that evening with her, and also that following Thursday night. We went into D.C. and met up with her older sister, Katie, and walked around and had dinner, then had a drink and dessert on the Terrace of of the Washington Hotel, which has a fabulous view of the east side of the White House, not to mention a spectacular view of the city (the terrace is on the 12th floor rooftop).

Now I'm back to the daily grind -- working and keeping up the house. So ho-hum!!! :)
