I love sleep!!!

I love sleep - it re-energizes me everyday! I have had a crazy last week or so:

[Washing Machine]
Thursday night I learned my washing machine was leaking.
Friday I called about 10 repair guys
Saturday morning the repair guy came out and informed me that nothing was wrong and that maybe the water had spilled over from a large load -- um, hello, I'm blonde, but no THAT blonde! "Perhaps it could be leaking from the bottom", I asked? "Oh, no, washing machines don't leak from the bottom", he replied. It was leaking from the bottom. The transmission was shot. Tell me why I paid HIM $69.95 for me to tell him it was leaking? Saturday afternoon I went to Sears and bought a new washing machine, and today, they delivered and installed it. Have washed three loads already!!

[Working Out]
I made it to the gym Friday and Saturday, had excuses Sunday and Monday, and then rode 13 miles tonight on my bike. Sunday, after church, lunch, and shopping, I was exhausted. It was raining out, so I came home and watched a movie, talked on the phone, and hit the hay.

[Surprise Visit!!]
Monday morning, I got an email from my sister-in-law - she was flying out to eht East Coast in a few hours and did I want to go to dinner? Um - hello - yes!!! I was totally excited! So I came home when Molly called from the airport, thus didn't make it to the gym -- not a big deal at all! Molly and I had a great time - we went to dinner, Home Depot (one of my favorite places!), and then just hung out at home I love Molly and am glad we had this opportunity to spend together.

[Small projects = large check]
Since my wahsing machine was being delivered today between 12:30 and 4:30 (love those 4 hour windows!), I called the contractor I've been meaning to have come to my house to do a few odds and ends. He was able to accommodate me by moving some things around, which I really appreciated! I got a new fan in my bedroom, although I had to go to Home Depot to get a replacement part for one that was defective.....of course, they wouldn't just open another box and replace the part, so I had to buy another fan of the smae type, and perform surgery in the box to get the part I wanted. Now I have an extra fan in my trunk that I have to take back. And the crazy part is that I even asked about bringing back a fan with a defective part, and they said that's what I should ok...alrighty then! They also hung a new kitchen light, but it's a completely differnet kitchen light than the one I thought I was going to have them hang. I opened the box today, and realized it just wasn't the right light. So, off to Lowe's, leaving two strange men in my house, I bought a new light, and batteries for the remote in the fan. They also installed a motion detector light in my backyard, and removed the drywall tape stain in my dining area - of course, they then had to paint the entire dining/kitchen ceiling! Anyway, it all looks great, I'm a bit high on the fumes, and my checking account might feel this one a little bit - yikes! See, I need to marry a handy man so he can do all these repairs, etc!!!!

[Fun stuff]
Saturday night I went to a Big Band concert with some friends, and a Maltese. Holy cow - I never realized how much attention you get when you have a small dog on a leash. Amazing.....everywhere we went..."oh your dog is cute....how old is it?.....Can I pet it? It was real funny!!! Mishka, is, of course, an absolutely darling dog!!!

Ok, off to sleep now - in my comfy bed with my new fan on - yippee!

sounds fun, and expensive. ANd when you find the "handy" man, also make sure he has time to do your list. I have a handy hubby who is always busy with 500 other things!
