Music music music!!!

[Orchestra]
I played last weekend at church, and today in the Reston Community Orchestra "Joys of Childhood" concert. My friends Jim and Marsha, and my friend Brian came to enjoy the music.

[Danny Oertli]
Danny is an amazing performer! He performed at my church last weekend, and then I heard him again this past Thursday night. Check out one of his songs on my page (it's one of my favorites!) Danny has an amazing story, and lives in Colorado with his family. I had the pleasure of talking with Danny and learning about him, and look forward to listening to his music; there are many songs of his that have already touched my heart.

[New Position at Work]
I've been in my new position on the Kinetic Energy Interceptor (KEI) Program for two weeks now. I'm enjoying my new found level of autonomy, and the higher levels of responsibility that came with the position, and am certainly glad I made the decision to move into this new role. Change is a good thing, and God knew I needed this change, and as always, it came at the perfect time.

[Iowa Trip]
I'm going to visit Tammy, Scott, Ryan, and the farm animals over Memorial Day. I'm super excited!!! It's been 4 1/2 years since I've visited Iowa, and it will bring many fond memories (and the opportunity to make new ones!!) Tammy will be 8 months pregnant when I visit, but Tammy is a super-wife, mom, and friend, so we'll have plenty of good times with the family.

[Karaoke]
Ok, so last night I did karaoke. It's been a long time since I've sung karaoke, but we were celebrating Amy's birthday! Amy and I sang Red Neck Woman, and then I also sang Nineteen-something, by Mark Wills. There were some amazing, and as one would suspect, not so amazing singers (I fall into the second category for sure!) Even though I left smelling like a lit cigarette, it was a blast. Can't wait to karaoke again!

Here is Amanda, Amy, and me at karaoke!

So fun! I want to go to Iowa... and Karaoke?...oh please, there is no way you'd get me to do that. Then again, I didn't think there was any way you'd get me to skate on that frozen reflection pool in front of the capitol building either! ah! haha.
