100%

I am finally back to 100%! I really have been under the weather since the 1st of year - not such a happy new year if you ask me! I woke up Friday feeling much better - all the extra sleep I got this past week must have helped! I'm behind on phone calls - I owe several people a call - if you are one of them - I'm sorry! This week I spent sleeping :)

I've been to the gym two days this week, which is the minimum I'll be going this year, and this afternoon I spent an hour or so working in my front yard -- in short sleeves! We have been having crazy weather, it's currently 58 degrees out - and the next couple of days are going to be in the 60's. I pulled out this nasty rose bush and four other small plants that have been nagging me everytime I pull in my drieveway for the past year. I've needed to take them out for a LONG time. Last year at this time my front lawn ws covered in 10 inches of snow, so raking them felt a little odd!

I started a new project for a wall in my bedroom that is currently bare -- I'm super excited to complete it. I've selected some photos from the past, say, two years, that I'm going to print out in black and white. I'm going to frame them in silver/brushed nickel frames (I'm thinking about adding a splash of color in the matting), and then make that wall a picture wall. Most everyone knows how I love taking pictures, and also how much I love having pictures up around my house/work of my loved ones. Once I'm done with the project, I'll wake up to my family and friends everyday!

I stuck to my diet this week, which is an accomplishment for me. I did have probably a total of 30 M&M's at work throughout the week - darn M&M's!

God is continuously teaching me to be content in my life - to seek Him and to listen to Him. I recently had thought about taking on a new position at work - one that would have more responsibilities, etc., and would be a promotion for me. I've realized, however, that God wants me where I am right now at work - as difficult as it may be, that's where I belong for now. There are some other things in my life that I need to focus on right now, and that's where my energy needs to be spent.

My grandmother is continuing to get worse. I found out today that she is now becoming anemic, and the Doctor's aren't going to give her anything to help. She is having so many different problems now, in addition to her cancer -- it's really tearing my heart out. My grandmother is just absolutely amazing. Her zest for life and love for Christ have made such an impact on my life and she truly a woman that I strive to become like someday. My grandmother also has the kindest heart -- and she knows me well. When I got home from CA over Christmas, I had a card from her. The card was written while I was in Fresno, and it was just a note to say hello when I got back to VA. I will keep that card forever - from my darling grandmother. I dread the day that she is no longer with my family -- a day that I fear is drawing near -- too near. But only God knows when that day will come, and when it does, He and all the angels in heaven will rejoice to have grandma home -- a home where her heart is.

Tomorrow will be an exciting day - Ashley and her friend Hannah (from WA) are coming for a visit and we are going to do some sightseeing in DC since Hannah has never been there. I hear there are new vendors downtown in the District - apparently DC is trying to bring in some competition with ethic foods and such - I'll have to check it out for sure!
