March came and went

It’s been over a month since my last blog -- it’s even hard for me to believe!

My sister-in-law Molly was in town for business early in the month and we had dinner together at The Melting Pot.....Molly is doing well with her pregnancy and looks so beautiful....I got to feel the baby kick too -- I guess he enjoyed the fondue as much as we did :)

My mom came to visit a few days before Easter -- we did girl things like shopping, watched movies, and got a pedicure. We went to the gym, and unfortunately, on the way home, one of my tires blew out so that slowed down our Saturday just a little. We also looked at tile for my entryway (I’m hoping to tile it)

My Aunt and Uncle and cousin (Patti and Freddie and Freddie) visited last weekend. They stayed with me for two days during a 10-day mid-atlantic region visit. It was especially nice because I was able to celebrate my 31st birthday with them. For my birthday, we went downtown to see the Cherry Blossoms, to the Botanical Gardens (absolutely beautiful!!! -- stay tuned for pictures) and then to Annapolis for a tour of the Naval Academy.

Yesterday, while exercising at the gym, I landed incorrectly on my left foot and fell off the board I was jogging on. Troy came and took me to Urgent Care, and I found out that I sprained my ankle. Troy was a God-send yesterday and I really appreciate his friendship....he helped me get settled at home and went and filled my pain medication prescription. So I have to stay off my foot and use crutches for a few days, and hopefully I’ll be able to return to the gym soon. The gym owner, Carol, happened to be working when I fell, and she brought over a frozen dinner last night, which was really nice.

My friend, Anna, and I had made plans for last night, and we ended up hanging out at my house and watched a few movies, including The Illusionist. If you haven’t seen it, it is an EXCELLENT movie -- I think I want to watch it again!

I had an Orchestra concert today, which was very difficult with my sprained ankle. Given that it was such short notice, there is no way I could have cancelled.....my conductor came and picked me up, and people helped me get situated so I was able to play.

On April 2, Alexander Shane Prim (#3 of 3 boys) was born to my friends Shane and Leanna Prim, and this morning, Isaiah Michael Prince was born (#1) to my cousin Kara and her husband, Mike Prince.

That’s it for now! :)

You must be an expert at finding your way around the Naval Academy now--how many times have you been there?? :-) Checking out those Navy boys...I know all about that. hehe. Well, now I only check out ONE Navy boy...but you know what I mean. lol

Sorry about your ankle! Good thing Troy was there to help out! Hopefully you'll be back on your feet (literally!) soon!
