What's going on with Kristin

[Small Group]
There is finally some progress being made in the development of a new small group! There are two girls that are interested, and we have already met for dinner one time, and this past week I learned of another group of 3-4 that needs a new leader. Tomorrow I will meet one of the girls from the group to discuss the possibility of merging our two groups together....and she would be the apprentice in the group since she is a relatively new believer. I'm excited to see what God has in store - it's been too long!

[Traffic Galore]
Last weekend I headed down to Williamsburg to visit my cousin Luke and his wife Amber, who were staying at a timeshare for the week. On the way out of town (DC), I ran into HORRIBLE traffic! It took me TWO STINKIN HOURS to drive about 11 miles - it should have only taken about 15 minutes! I was so aggravated! However, I got the chance to catch up with Ashley, so it was worth it!

[Williamsburg / Newport News]
I finally DID make it down to Williamsburg, and Luke, Amber and I went out to dinner and were up really late talking. It was so great to catch up and to spend quality time with family! On Saturday, we slept in and the Amber and I went our for a very late brunch before meeting Barry (you may be asking - who's Barry?) at Jamestown. The four of us hung out the rest of the day: we visited Yorktown, went out to a very enjoyable dinner, I taught Barry to play Settlers!, and we all were up late (again!) talking. On Sunday, Luke and Amber had to leave :(, and so I went to church with Barry and then he took me out to lunch at we spent some time during the afternoon at the Yorktown Battlefields, which is definitely one of my favorite places in Virginia! That evening, I headed home from a wonderful weekend - had to go back to work Monday!

[Barry]
I am now officially dating Barry. He is an amazing guy - he has a passion for God, teaching History (to highschoolers!!), and for baseball. He and I have been talking since January of this year and have gotten to know each other fairly well over the past 4-5 months. Feel free to ask me questions - I still have many myself! I have not dated anyone in quite a long time, so it's all new to me!

[Battle of the Beltway]
Last night I went to a Washington Nationals game. They were playing the Baltimore Orioles - in the first of three games this weekend in what is being called the "Battle of the Beltway". Unfortunately, we LOST (5-1). It was still tons of fun, however, and I got to spend the evening with some good friends.
