ADXers ROCK!

This weekend was fantabulous....and freezing cold! Thanks to my wonderful friend Carrie (I love you!), I packed light and so I didn't take much cold-weather clothes. I know that seems silly since I live in the cold weather right now, but my scarves and gloves just didn't fit in my suitcase!

Friday morning I met up Elisa, Jan and Carrie at the Atlanta airport. All bleary-eyed from traveling overnight, I felt bad that I couldn't drive the rental car (I wasn't covered by the insurance). After a series of U-turns and pit stops, we managed to find the camp in that Alabama out there somewhere, and we busily put our stuff away in the cabins in anticipation of all the girls arriving. Girls from all the active chapters came - I met many new faces, and caught up with several already friendly faces.

The food at this camp was too good - seriously, I ate too much this weekend and I'm afraid to step on a scale! The crazy thing is that normally, we might have worked off some of the calories we ate, but being that it was freezing out, we didn't really have much physical activity happening!

The theme for the weekend was BLING! Carrie did an outstanding job of sharing the characteristics of a diamond to the group - and relating the importance of maintaining purity, clarity, cut, etc. in our lives with Christ. We had times of worship, reflection, and prayer, and or course, tons of fun! I wish I could go into all the details, but I'd be typing forever!

Today we drove back to Atlanta and spent some time at Georgia Tech's new house! It's an amazing house that holds 19 girls - and is located right on frat row! How awesome! I'm so honored to be a part of ADX - I thank the Lord for directing me to ADX on the campus of Fresno State - my life has changed dramatically due to the sorority and the eternal friendships I have developed.

Looks like you had a great time!! I would have loved to have traveled back and spent the weekend with you all...but other plans were in store for me!
How's the bedroom coming along...?
one of these years I'll make it to an ADX convention...
That was such a fun weekend! What were you Elisa and I doing in that last picture? I don't remember it...I think I have had like 15 hours sleep since Thursday.
