Spring is in the air.....or is it??
[A Spring tease]
The weather this past weekend was gorgeous - I went to New Jersey Friday and on Saturday, it reached nearly 70 degrees! On Sunday there was a bit of rain, but nonetheless it was a nice day. On Monday, it reached into the 80's here in VA! Yes, I typed that correct - the 80's! In fact, at ORchestra rehearsal that evening, we had the door open at the church where we rehearse - just to get a breeze inside. The air inside was a bit stale, but the church doesn't turn the air conditioning on until May apparently! The crazy thing is that it is 43 degrees right now. Yesterday, the weather completely changed again - and now it back to winter weather. Those darn geese must be so confused! The trees are also confused I think, although they are beginning to bud!
[Tulips and Flowers]
In October, I planted some flowers in my front yard. Well guess what? They are beginning to bloom! I'm very excited. Here is a picture of them this morning.....come on flowers - you can do it - keep blooming in this crazy cold winter weather!

[A New Jersey weekend]
Ashley and I had a great time this past weekend - and we took advantage of the nice weather. We enjoyed a snack at the park on a blanket, and Ashley treated me to a jelly pedicure for my birthday (which was really awesome by the way if you have never had one!) We spent a fair amount of time playing with Rosie - Ashley and Hannah's third roommate. Rosie girl does own the house, you know....she is such a cute dog....almost....ALMOST makes me want one :)
[Goal of painting]
My goal this weekend, other than I'm playing for all 4 services at church in the Orchestra, is to prime my bedroom! I think I've enticed two friends to help me on Friday night - yes, St. Patrick's Day. Wouldn't you like to spend your Friday night painting? I thank the Lord for Anna and Amanda!

your crocuses and tulips will look great. You can plant those things much closer together than the directions say because you live in a colder climate. I learned that one last year.
As for the dog, I have 3 at home if you need one. Millie, who's been staying at our place for 5 months now does have an owner but i'm not sure they'll want her back. The kids never come see her. Matt comes over to play xbox and doesn't give the dog any attention. So, I'd be willing to bet, they'd let you have her. She's small, short hair, cute black dog...
Your flowers look great! I'd love to spend the evening painting with you--but I'll likely be sleeping. Being a single mom is TOUGH WORK and those girls wore me out! I'm so thankful that I don't have any kids at this point in my life...but hopefully soon, with a husband to go along with them!
how is the painting going?
