[Mom's Visit]
My mom and I had a great time during her visit. We went to the Cherry Blossom Festival Parade in DC and got completely drenched. It was pouring buckets but hello - I bought grandstand tickets so we still went! Mom fell in the mud, and amazingly held onto her umbrella in one hand and her coffee in the other. We bought lighting for my bathroom and vanity, visiting Middleburg, VA (horse and wine country in this neck of the woods), watched the Chronicles of Narnia, and mom even hemed a curtian in my kitchen (because yes, I've been too lazy to pull out the sewing machine!)

[Open evenings]
I used to be SO busy on weeknight evenings, and right now I'm not - it's actually quite nice. I'm managing to get things done around the house, and can actually check the mail more than once once per week! It should allow me to get to bed earlier too....however....I'm such a night owl!

[Chop Chop]
I had my hair chopped Saturday. Once the humidity arrives I'll REALLY be glad it's shorter!

Finally! My flowers are blooming!

[Curves and South Beach]
Yup - I started both - today. It's exciting - I need to shed these extra pounds that found me in childhood! :)

[This weekend]
My favorite E.C. friend Ashley is coming for a visit this weekend! My brother and sister-in-law are also going to be on the E.C. - in Baltimore. Funny thing is that Ashley and I were already planning to be in Baltimore Saturday for a Civil War Reenactment, so now I get to also see them. What a marvelous Saturday it will be!
