Whirlwind Weekend

FRIDAY
9:00am EST - headed to work
4:15pm EST - dropped off at the airport in time for my 6pm flight
5:40pm EST - sat down in my seat - 17F
7:00pm EST - finally departed (I got a real short nap!)
9:30pm PST - arrived in San Jose. Mark and Molly picked me up
10:00pm - arrived at Mark and Molly's house and got a grand tour. Their house, even though under construction, is beautiful! They've done a great job remodeling the main bath and fixing the flooring throughout the whole house

SATURDAY
2:00am - crashed for the night
9:00am - woke up to find myself on a very comfy air mattress - took a shower
11:00am - left San Jose for Fresno!
12:30pm - lunch stop in Gilroy.....TOGO's......yummy!!!
3:00pm - arrived at my parents and visited with my parents, brothers, Molly, Grandma, and Aunt
4:30pm - showed my family pictures from my Europe trip - long overdue!
5:00pm - sat down for a nice Salmon BBQ dinner with my family
8:00pm - Jen and Janine arrive and we all catch up - it was nice to see Janine again!
9:00pm - wrap a bridal shower gift and head out the door with Jen and Janine
9:30pm - After dropping off Janine, and going up to the wrong house initially, arrive at Jason and Erin's house (friends of Hannah's). Jen and I were the first to arrive - they had no porch light so it was impossible to see the address!
10pm - Hannah arrives and we party!!! The countdown to Hannah's wedding began!

SUNDAY
1:00am - Even the caffeine couldn't keep me awake so Jen and I head home to sleep
2:00am - Jen's watch beeps and we finally turn out the light
2:40am - woke up sweating and decided to switch bedrooms - was I having a nightmare about the wedding?
3:15am - finally got back to sleep
6:45am - woke up to my dad opening windows and doors. I informed him meeting him and my mom at church at 9:30am was not going to happen after all :(
7:00am - back to sleep (this time with Midnight - love my kitty!!!!)
9:00am - alarm goes off and I'm in the shower and curling my hair for Hannah's special day!
10:50am - meet my parents and grandma at church.
11:00am - Attended the service. The sanctuary looks great with the remodel! I love the baptistry!
12:30pm - Took a tour of the church since the remodel. I really like the Music Dept.
1:15pm - Subway stop! Had a quick lunch! I love Wheat Thins!
2:15pm - Leave to take pictures of Hannah's family and bridal party prior to the wedding. I got some great black and white shots! Jen's the best for driving me around :)
4:00pm - Here comes the bride! Hannah proudly walks down the aisle by her dad.
4:30pm - time for the reception. Had a blast - yummy Mexican food. Saw friends I've missed (Cathy, Kevin, Luke, Nathan) and even an old highschool band buddy.
7:00pm - time for the Bouquet toss. Hannah threw it and it landed in the tree. Yes - the tree! I thought "I'm tall - I'll shake it out" - and that I did (on my tip toes)! Conveniently, my left hand was in the right place to catch the bouquet. That's two in 6 weeks! My MY!
8:30pm - headed home from a beautiful day. changed clothes.
9:00pm - Laurie came over!!! Jen, Laurie and I looked at pictures while our stomachs growled.
10:00pm - Went to dinner at TGI Fridays. Did you know Applebee's closes at 10pm? Guess how we found that out? Yummy - Jack Daniels (Chicken, that is)
11:30pm - Headed to the Lewis House and hung out with Kin and Min, Katie, Molly, Mark, Scott, Laurie, and Jen. We played Mafia - clearly not Scott's favorite game. He was Mafia though in the end - he and Mark. That's my brothers - the mafia :)
1:30am - Again, the caffeine couldn't keep me awake. I needed sleep. Headed home with Jen.
4:30am - Went to sleep. Yes, 3 hours later. Talking soothes just as much as sleep some times - this time. I love my best friend.

MONDAY
8:45am - beep beep beep! Stupid alarm woke me up. Called Mandy to see if I could stop by for a quick visit. Looked at a sightseeing magazine with my mom for her and my dad's trip to visit me next week.
10:15am - Headed to Madeline's Bridal for measurement for Sara G's wedding in October.
10:45am - With only 4 hours sleep - Starbucks was MANDATORY!!!
11:15am - Arrived at the Short house. SO good to see the whole family!! Thomas is two and is so loving and full of laughter! Emily is precious and has more of a temper than her big brother. The kids looked so spoiled in their outfits from me and Jen. Oh yes - they are spoiled!! :) Keith and Mandy are doing a wonderful job raising their kids in the Lord. Keep the faith - and keep going to MOPS! :)
12:30pm - Had to leave :(
1:00pm - Mark and Molly picked me up. Said goodbye to Jen :( and my mom :(
1:15pm - always time for a quick visit at my Aunt's house. They have remodeled their kitchen - it's magnificent! Also visited with my Grandma, whose living in Fresno for the meantime. The Doctors have found more cancer and her surgery is Saturday (prayers!!!)
2:00pm - Picked up Katie and headed back to San Jose.
2:15pm - Saw Brian and Deborah! We were leaving Starbucks and I saw them getting into their car - rolled down my window and said hello. I have to call Deborah - I really miss her.
5:00pm - lunch stop in Gilroy - this time? Maui Taco Shop - it was allright
6:00pm - Arrived at Mark and Molly's
6:45pm - Took a power nap - desperately needed!
8:15pm - woke up and hung out. Played cards. Had boca burgers. Transferred pictures to my bro's computer. Enjoyed my family.

TUESDAY
12:45am - finally headed to bed - oh! that comfy air mattress - yah! :) (It really IS comfortable)
6:30am - woke up, took a quick shower.
7:15am - hugged Molly goodbye. Mark took me to the airport. Sad to leave :(
9:20am PST - flight left about 30 minutes late (not too bad).
7:00pm EST - arrive in Virginia and headed home.
