Busy Times

Life is hectic, what can I say? Last Wednesday, I stayed home from work to move in to my house. The big moving truck arrived and it felt so great to see the familiar "faces" of my belongings - especially my comfy chair! On Friday I completed the move OUT from my cube (10 x 11 room) - cleaned, etc., and luckily no wolf spiders visited me in the process!

Saturday, Ashley drove down from New Jersey and was a tremendous help to me unpacking boxes and setting up the kitchen and living room. We had thunder storms on Saturday - just as we were heading to dinner, and then again after dinner as we rented "The Notebook" and bought yummy ice cream (a chick flick night for sure!). I was SO glad Ashley was there with me during hte T-storms!! We both love the stroms, but they can be scary in a new place if you are by yourself (luckily I wasn't!!)

Yesterday we got tons more unpacking done, and even a picture hung! and then Ashley had to go home :( I went to church and heard a great message and continued unpacking when I got home. And guess what I'll be doing tonight? You got it! - unpacking! And talking to my little brother, who called me too late last night when I was already asleep. Yes, I love getting phone calls - but hello! - I'm three hours ahead now!! :)

What a coincidence, I watched The Notebook too this weekend. I thought it was a sweet movie, though my mom had overhyped it, she was like "I can't believe it was PG-13...those sex scenes" which is funny to me because I was trying to watch it looking for what my mom was talking about, and didn't see any body part that is not normally shown off in public, they kept her very well covered...anyhow, it was a good movie, worth the rental.

Sounds like busy times. Can't wait to see pics of your new place, and someday see it in person.

The Notebook...made me cry...but I'm with Luke's mom on the "I can't believe it was PG-13" idea. Definitely a chick-flick though! And yum...ice cream...I haven't had ice cream in...months! Hey...doesn't ice cream have carbs?
