Sara's Wedding

This past weekend was Sara's wedding! I arrived in Fresno LATE Wednesday night (Thursday morning, really). My dress fitting was at 11am Thursday, so I went straight to bed! The dress was way too big when I first tried it on, the poor seamstress had her work cut out for her! Thursday I hung out with my mom - we went shopping and out to lunch - it was a really nice time. Then we headed over to Scott's for dinner and to watch The Apprentice (can't miss it! And my parents are just as hooked - hehe)
Friday morning I tried the dress on again, and it was still too big - thank goodness the seamstress had time to work on it Friday night! Sara's mom threw us girls a bridal luncheon, which was beautiful!, we finished a few decorations, and then we all got our nails done. Next was the rehearsal which went smoothly, and of course the rehearsal dinner at the Elbow Room in Fig Garden. I met Norm's family and by then all the bridesmaids had bonded - it was great fun! I particularly enjoyed holding Sara's friend Christine's baby girl, who was just 4 weeks old. We hung out at the Piccadilly for a while, then I was off to get rest for the big day!
Saturday was busy, and the morning went by QUICK! I had to go pick up my dress and Krista's dress, then I decided to do a Starbucks run for everyone - thank goodness for Starbies!!! The girls, including Sara's mom, got our hair and make-up done, which took all morning of course, and then we were off to take pictures! I arrived last at the Fig Garden Sports and Racquet Club that morning (I had the last make-up slot which was fine with me!) and walked in to see Sara in her wedding dress already - she was such a beautiful bride!!!
An hour of pictures, and the girls were done. We got to hang out for the next 1.5 hours upstairs :) The ceremony went great - the weather was a perfect 80 degrees - not a hint of sweat anywhere! The reception was at the same location, which was great for the guests, especially since they had to wait another hour while the final pictures were taken. Dinner was yummy, the toasts full of memories, the song Sara's brother Jim wrote and Jim and Dave played guitar and sang to brought tears to not only MY eyes! We danced the night away, and eventually I had to say my goodbyes as Sara and Norm prepared to leave in his newly decorated Corvette. It was an amazing weekend - and I wouldn't have expected anything less!!! Here are some highlights!

ahhhh...Sara looks so beautiful! And you and Krista too! Look at you both in your dresses...I love the colors...very classy. I'm glad the whole "dress fiasco" worked out for you! Are you going to write about the weekend at all, or just post pictures?? I'd love to hear all the fun stories (I KNOW you have some!!).
