Recipient of a random act of kindness
I was the recipient of a random act of kindness yesterday! I was at home yesterday morning, and the neighbor's grandson (who's probably in his 30's), asked me what I was planning to do with the cactus plant on my patio. His grandfather was curious if he could have it. I told him that if his grandfather wanted the cactus, to please take it, as I was going to be throwing away all the debris on Saturday morning (Last Sunday, Sara helped me replant a six-foot planter, but all the debris were still on my patio). Then I went on about my day.
This morning, I woke up, and made some coffee, and preped my mind to go clean up my patio. I opened my vertical blinds, and much to my surprise, the pile of branches and debris was gone - I was so shocked! My neighbor cleaned up that entire mess, which I wasn't exactly looking forward to doing, but knew I had to face nonetheless. I am so gracious! Now, I did just spend the last hour and a half out there cleaning and planting a plant another neighbor gave me - my patio is spic 'n' span now!

Hey Kristin ;-) I saw your blog linked from Tammy's. I just wanted to say that its way cool that you live in Riverside. Thats where I grew up!! Most of my family still lives there. Very cool. If you ever need Riverside advice or names of yummy places to eat then just let me know. I grew up in Mockingbird Canyon which is between Woodcrest and Arlington. Have fun with the warm weather!!!
