No heat, sickness and snow!

Well last Wednesday I got home from work (my first day back) and my heater didn't work. I was without heat until Friday night, when the A/C DOC finally was able to fix it - the ignitor had gone bad. So Friday night I enjoyed heat again. Saturday morning I woke up sick. I stayed home all day and did nothing but sleep, watch some corny movie on TV, and work for 4 hours. I missed a Christmas party that night :( Sunday I woke up sick and went to Urgent Care. I was given a prescription for sudafed and robitussin - I didn't think it was going to help. And it didn't. I missed church and a leadership dinner :( I went in to work on Monday, and got worse. I missed Orchestra :( It snowed Monday night - but it didn't stick. Tuesday I worked from home and went back to Urgent care, and got on an antibiotic for the painful deep couch and congestion in my throat. I missed Small Group :( Wednesday I worked from home in the morning and then went in to work because Wednesday was our deadline for all the end of the year stuff - it was a very hectic and stressful week - and the WORST work week of the year for me to be sick. I missed a rehearsal :( Thursday I went in to work again, but I shouldn't have - I was home by 3pm. It snowed 3-4 includes overnight and my front year was completely COVERED in snow! Friday I stayed home and worked (thank goodness I can work from home!) and the Doctor called and since I wasn't getting much better, put me on a different and stronger antibiotic. I shoveled my driveway so I could go get my prescription (I probably shouldn't have). Today I am beginning to feel better. I had rehearsal in Maryland (doesn't that sound crazy? - but it's so close, really - about 20 minutes) for a piece I'm playing tomorrow morning at a church that the conductor of the Orchestra I joined also conducts at. I love the piece - it's titled "Gloria", by John Rudder. I'm playing tympani. There are two services - and I have to be there at 8am so I better get to bed - yikes!!!

Yikes Kristin! A prescription for sudafed? Do you need a prescription for that?? Oh, maybe you were being funny. haha. Anyway, hope you are feeling better soon! Must be all that snow and cold weather that you're not used to!

You'll be coming back to CA soon, and you'll be able to DEFROST then. ;-) In the meantime, I hope you feel better soon!!
