Time....is NOT on my side.....
People who know me well KNOW how "time-oriented" I am. I told myself yesterday when I left work, that I was going to get tons of stuff done this weekend. Usually tha means writing out a list and pre-determining how I'll spend my time. Not this time. Oh well. I like lazy days. Really!! Days where I don't have to worry about the time. Days like today! - I slept in, read, slept a bit more, watched part of a movie, paid some bills, got online, did some laundry, cleaned the kitchen, talked to some friends on the phone, ate some lunch (lunch even though it was 5pm - hehehe), scrapbooked a bit, and even managed to change my air conditioner air filter (not the most exciting, but like laundry or loading the dishwasher, must be done).
I never end up having enough time, that's the real problem. Working Monday thru Friday only leaves two days...TWO DAYS!......to rest and run all those pesky errands I can't run on weekdays since I'm working. And on top of errands there are some things that have to get done around the house too - like painting eventually. With work, church, preparing for and attending small group, grocery shopping, keeping up on blogs :), sorting through the mail, tracking the checking account, paying all these stupid bills, remembering to fill the tank before running out of gas, cleaning house, pruning the bushes, and other things I'm sure I'm leaving out, it's hard for me to find time for other things I either need to do, like excercise, or things I want to do, like finishing unpacking and hanging pictures and painting a few rooms and meeting new people.
Lord - please help me find the time to accomplish everything I need to do, and helpd me have time to do the things I want and like to do as well. I can only do it with Your guidance!

Perhaps you should hire a personal assistant, or get a house husband :)
a house husband??
Yeah, a house husband is like a housewife...you know, when the woman is the one who has a career and brings in the loads. He gets to stay home and raise the family do the the laundry, mow the yard, fix the cooler, do the tile in the bathroom, build additions on to the house...as well as cook and play video games!
you all are mean - you too Laurie! ;) I agree - a house husband would be nice - are you guys volunteering to find me one? Feel FREE!
haha...you guys are cute with your "house husband" talk. I'm sure there are many men out there willing to be a 'house husband'. What boy wouldn't want to just sit around all day and play video games?! ;-) I'll keep my eyes open for ya...and for a REAL husband, too! ;-) In the meantime, it's fine if every once in a while you DON'T get things done. It's important to rest, too! Sometimes you just need one of those days...or two...or eight. ;-) hehe.
