This is a photo of the "second seige line" on the Yorktown battlefield. The french fought at this particular spot in the revolutionary war. These are the actual trenches built by soldiers during the war. To the right (unseen in the picture) is the Yorktown Civil War cemetary. The battlefield was my favorite sight to visit today - it is beautiful and lush with rolling meadows, streams and creeks, and tons of history!
