Humid as Heck and disasterous tools
I'm avoiding the outdoors today and tomorrow for that matter - we are having a heat advisory through Monday night at 6pm. Yesterday I was outside in my backyard, and after only 10 minutes, I felt like I was dripping wet! I can make it to my car and can drive places avoiding the "elements", but once I get out of my car - I'll be stuck with that nasty stick feeling. Such is life in Virginia this time of the year!
So I bought the WEED HOUND on Friday - it's supposed to work miracuously on my lawn in in my garden for disposing of weeds. I tried it yesterday afternoon - my backyard has lots of weeds, let me tell you. Well it's fairly easy to use, and oddly enough, I was having a good time using the tool. Well, after I puled out about 2/3 of the weeds in my lawn, the WEED HOUND broke! Not kidding! There are two metal plates (pictured below). I guess they are somehow saudered together, but it came undone, so now the little spikes go every which way - I can't control it now! Good thing it has a lifetime guarantee - it's going BACK to Home Depot tomorrow! Check out the WEED HOUND in action: http://www.hound-dog.com/weed_hound.htm

Here's the WEED HOUND doing it's thing....

Ewwww....I remember that humidity from Ashley and my trip out there a few years ago. I DO NOT envy you right now...and I really learned to appreciate the phrase "it's a dry heat" when describing Valley summers. Ah well, I guess it's something to get used to! :-) (And it also explains why I'm waiting until October to come visit!!) ;-)
Why can't the weather always be like 75 degrees with no humidity? Maybe a little warmer with a costal breeze? Ok, I am now awaking from my slumber back into the real world where it is hecka hot here in the valley and hot with humidity where you are.
Hopefully the beautiful fall with make up for it.

It's been unusually muggy here. My poor mom had been trying to beat the heat using her swamp cooler, but she didn't realize that the hose from the pump had become disconnected and she basically just had a big fan. I fixed that this weekend, and replaced the cooler pads, and fixed her float valve, so now al least she can be a little more comfortable.
my house is unbearable, unless you strip down to your skivvies, but it makes the parties fun...
