A downer of a day

In addition to my car story (see next post), I found out today that 3 boxes that were shipped here from California arrived yesterday but were delivered to my apartment complex office, but without my apartment number on them, so the office would not take them. UPS screwed up because instead of contacting the shipper after taking them back to the hub, they put in the system that the receiver refused the boxes - so now, they are on their way BACK TO CALIFORNIA! I'm so frustrated, because one of boxes is a suitcase full of clothes I need - like NOW, and another box is a plant my brother and sister-in-law gave to me for Christmas in 2002. And of course, since the boxes are already in transit back to CA and are scheduled to arive there next Wednesday, they cannont be intercepted. So maddening! I'm surviving off of 6 outfits - I guess I'm going to have to go shopping this weekend - doesn't look like I have much of a choice - I need clothes!

Work was also very stressful today for some reason, so that didn't help. Plus, since I was exhausted and cranky, I stopped by Wendy's for dinner on the way home, and by the time I got up to my apartment after stopping by the apartment complex office for two other boxes that actually did manage to arrive (not important ones of course) and having them re-key my access card (it hasn't worked either), I realized that my order was wrong! Today just hasn't been my best day, that's for sure.

You have to also look at the other side, you will get an excuse to check out the shopping in your new town. You will also be helping add to the economy by spending money. As you will soon learn the US dollar can use as much help as possible. Maybe you can help strengthen the dollar while shopping. :)

Well, look on the bright side - today is now over and it will never repeat itself! You know that tomorrow and the days following HAVE to get better! :)
