Church Beliefs and other stuff

So last week when I had the meeting on joining leadership at church, I was informed that I have to fully agree the Churchs' Doctrinal Statement. I had skimmed through it, but had not taken the time to fully read it. When I went back through it, I wasn't sure if I agreed the the churchs' belief on spiritual gifts. I read scripture, tapped into some of my respected sources, and prayed about it and have decided I do believe the same, it's just that the way the church wrote it got me confused. Basically the church believes that certain spiritual gifts were used during the apostolic era primarily for confirming the gospel message, and that today they aren't prevalent in a church service.

I wish churches in general would include more information about their beliefs on their websites. During my research, I went to the website of the church I grew up in so I could compare, and there was only a one-page summary of the churchs' beliefs. This just seems strange to me. If I'm going to a church, I surely want to understand what the church believes!!! This just seems like common sense to me, but then maybe I'm not the common person!

I got my hair chopped today. It's needed a cut for quite some time. The crazy thing is, that the lady I was referred to did both high and low-lights, washed my hair, and cut it, then I realized that the highlights didn't really take well. This had NEVER happened to me before. So, I got more foils and color in my hair - what happened was that the lowlights were TOO low, so the second around she did just highlights. I know, SO confusing! Needless to say, it looks nice - now I just have to remember how to style it!


I'm exhausted tonight - and COLD - is my heater broken again? I gotta go turn it on!!! Last night I made it to the gym, but didn't get enough sleep after cleaning up at home and signing all my loan documents, so today I wasn't the most productive at work. Tomorrow I think I'm going to go in earlier than I did today since I left early today and tomorrow I'm leaving at 5:30 to meet someone for coffee. The Amazing Race is on - LOVE THAT SHOW!!!
